OEA criteria
The Outstanding Employee Award:
- Recognizes employees who on an ongoing basis go above and beyond their job responsibilities.
- Is available to managerial/professional and office/service staff.
OEA eligibility
- Nominee must be employed permanently, .50 FTE or more in the University.
- Nominee must have an IANR appointment.
- Employee cannot be on corrective probation.
- The OEA can be received once every 5 years. (See Past Recipients list.)
OEA nominations
- Anyone may nominate a person or write a letter of support for the OEA award. However, nominations must be made through and approved by the immediate supervisor and unit administrator (if administrator is not immediate supervisor).
- Submit the nomination form and 3 support letters to nominee's unit administrator.
- Administrator is to electronically forward the nomination materials to the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor’s Office in care of Zaneta Hahn for processing.
- Recipients will be selected 4 times yearly and awards presented in March, June, September and December. Nominations must be received on or before the 1st day of February, May, August and November respectively.
- At the discretion of the committee, nominations may or may not be carried forward from one quarter to the next.

OEA award
Each recipient will be awarded $750 (less the amount withheld for taxes), plus a certificate, lapel pin, letter from the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor, and recognition in The Leading Object newsletter.
