Board of Regents Kudos Award
Nomination Form (PDF*)
Purpose:
The Board of Regents at its meetings recognizes full-time employees from each of the four campuses for outstanding service to the University of Nebraska. IANR submits a recipient for the Kudos Award on a rotating basis determined by the Office of University Communications.
The intent of IANR is to select for Board recognition outstanding, full-time IANR employees who are considered best among the best.
Kudos Award nomination criteria
- Past recipient of IANR Outstanding Employee Award – full-time office/service or full-time managerial/professional. (See Past Recipients list.)
- Consistently demonstrates high-quality performance.
- Recognized as an exemplary employee (explain).
- Projects a commitment toward excellence in the quality of daily work in which the individual is engaged (cite specific examples).
- Inspires "teamwork attitude" (cite specific examples).
- Contributes to high-staff morale and uses sound judgment in the exercise of duties (cite specific examples).
- The completed package of nomination materials includes a minimum of 3 letters of support, completed PDF nomination form, and copy of current position description.

Kudos Award selection process
- Nominations for the Kudos Award may be made by anyone; however, the nomination must be made through and approved by the unit administrator.
- Submit nomination forms and letters of support to the nominee's unit administrator.
- Administrator is to electronically forward materials, including nominee's position description, to the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor's office in care of Zaneta Hahn.
- Each nomination is reviewed by the IANR Kudos Award Committee. A call for nominations will be sent out based on dates established by the Office of University Communications.
- Contact Zaneta Hahn for questions regarding the nomination process, required form or supporting materials.
Kudos Award
- Each recipient will be awarded $150, a letter from the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor, and a certificate from the Board of Regents.

Exemplary Service Award

IANR recognizes employees for continued outstanding service to the University of Nebraska.
The intent of IANR is to select outstanding IANR employees who have maintained a high level of service and are considered exemplary.
Exemplary Service Award nomination criteria
- Past Kudos recipient. Eligibility for the award begins 5 years after the Kudos award has been received. (See Past Recipients list.)
- Consistently demonstrates high-quality performance.
- Recognized as an exemplary employee (explain).
- Projects a commitment toward excellence in the quality of daily work in which the individual is engaged (cite specific examples).
- Inspires “teamwork attitude” (cite specific examples).
- Contributes to high-staff morale and uses sound judgment in the exercise of duties (cite specific examples).

Exemplary Service Award selection process

- Submit nomination form and 3 letters of support to the nominee's unit administrator.
- Administrator is to electronically forward materials, including nominee's current position description, to the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor’s Office in care of Zaneta Hahn.
- Each nomination is reviewed by the Kudos/Exemplary Service Award Committee. The Committee recommends up to 2 individuals annually to the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor.
- Contact Zaneta Hahn for questions regarding the nomination process, required form or supporting materials.
Exemplary Service Award
- The award will be presented in April. (Up to 2 awards can be given each year.)
- Each recipient will be awarded $1,000 ($500 will be provided by the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor and $500 will be the responsibility of the recipient’s unit), a letter from the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor, and a plaque.
