Employee Impact Award (New 2011)

EIA criteria

The Employee Impact Award:

  • Recognizes an employee for a specific achievement.
  • Celebrates employee contributions which are more limited in scope and of shorter duration than accomplishments that would normally be recognized and celebrated through the IANR Outstanding Employee Award.
  • Recognizes employees who have through some action or activity made a significant impact on IANR, or their administrative unit or program.
    Examples include, but are not limited to a staff member who 1) goes beyond everyday activities and expectations for a specific activity or event, 2) originates a cost-saving idea, and 3) does an outstanding job in the contribution/completion of a major project.

EIA eligibility

  • Nominee must be employed permanently, .50 FTE or more in the University and have an IANR appointment.
  • Employee cannot be on corrective probation.

EIA nominations

  • Anyone may nominate a person for this award. However, nominations must be made through and approved by the immediate supervisor and unit administrator (if administrator is not immediate supervisor).
  • Submit nomination form to the nominee's unit administrator.
  • Administrator is to electronically forward the form to the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor’s Office in care of Zaneta Hahn for processing.
  • Nominations must be received on or before the first of each month and will be reviewed by the selection committee on a quarterly basis. A total of 6 recipients will be awarded yearly.
  • Contact Zaneta Hahn for questions regarding the nomination process, required form or support letters.

EIA award

Each recipient will be awarded $250 (less the amount withheld for taxes), a certificate, a letter from the NU Vice President/IANR Vice Chancellor and recognition in The Leading Object newsletter.
