March 2012 Kudos Award

Julie Lanxon, office supervisor for Child, Youth and Family Studies, is to receive the NU Board of Regents Kudos Award for March, 2012. Lanxon received the IANR Outstanding Employee Award in May 2010, and the Floyd S. Oldt Outstanding Staff Award. Besides providing administrative support and as office supervisor, Lanxon's duties include preparing annual reports, and overseeing conference planning, staff and hiring processes. Nomination comments for Lanxon include that she has a contagious cheerfulness, is extremely competent, extraordinarily helpful, and "often seems to be a step (or more) ahead of what is needed." Another wrote that Lanxon is "a master at organizational streamlining ... and has a highly creative, 'let's do it' approach that enables high quality work to be accomplished."

Recipients receive cash awards and certificates.
